Interlocking Door Systems

For organizations that need to control entry and exit, Guardian offers a variety of interlocking doors. Entry and exit are controlled by a single, two-way lane. People attempting to enter and/or to exit must wait for the unit to be vacated before proceeding. The unit is intended for small areas with limited traffic flow and occupancy. This unit could be equipped with any of several identification screening devices to limit access.

Independent entry and exit lanes can be provided to maximize traffic flow. Traffic in one direction does not interfere with the other, allowing people to enter and exit at the same time. Unauthorized access through the exit lane is not permitted.

Interlocking door systems can be upgraded to deny access to persons carrying weapons. Bullet resistant glass and metal detector options can convert a basic interlocking security door system to an Access Control Vestibule™.
